Lee Assisted Living Facility in the Farragut, Tennessee Area |
DIXIE
LEE ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY
FOR
THE FARRAGUT, TENNESSEE
AREA
Plans for the construction of a 48 bed
assisted living facility and 30 villas for independent living are being
finalized with an expected opening date of November, 2012.
Dixie Lee Assisted Living Facility to be located in Loudon County on U. S.
Highway 70, and ˝ mile west of Dixie Lee Junction, will be licensed by the
Tennessee Department of Health and will serve persons who are ambulatory but
need assistance in their daily living tasks.
The facility will also accommodate memory impaired clients as their needs
may arise within a separate, protected area.
The facility will be managed by a national firm, approved by the
Tennessee Department of Health and HUD that presently has numerous facilities
under management.
The small size of Dixie Lee is purposely designed to provide a program directed
toward the individual needs of the residents.
Our program is designed to encourage residents to demonstrate as much
independence as they are capable of, but our staff will be charged with offering
a helping hand when needed,
“Nutritional and East Tennessee meals will be provided, as close to home
cooking as possible”, stated Gene Rudesill, developer of the facility, in an
interview by a local newspaper. Reminders
for taking medication will also be an important part of the Dixie Lee program.
Transportation to the doctor’s office will be provided where necessary,
and of course, a recreational program, including outings to community offerings,
will be important to the life of Dixie Lee residents.
Monthly rental rates will be competitive in the community.
Often, families of loved ones in their retiring years fail to place an
adequate dollar value on the convenience and the caring environment of an
assisted living program. In reality
that value may be far beyond the dollars spent for the assisted living rental
rate.
Villas for independent living will be offered for sale to persons desiring
to reside and a secure environment and who may want to take advantage of some of
the programs of the assisted living facility such as meals, housekeeping, social
activities, etc. The exteriors and
yards of these villas will be maintained by a homeowner’s association thereby
eliminating any worry by the owners for ongoing maintenance.
These villas, to be constructed with upscale finishes, will start in the
low $200 thousands.

These
are some of the events that may be avoided by a person giving up their
housekeeping and living in a well managed assisted living facility:
Heavy house cleaning or finding someone to take on that job on a regular
basis.
Missing nutritional meals, especially difficult to prepare for one
person.
Forgetting to take medication, or taking too much medication, and
forgetting doctor’s appointments and finding a ride to the doctor’s office
if family members are not able to attend to this because if their work or other
schedule conflicts.
Yard
work, or maintenance on the house.
Doing Laundry and trips to the grocery store and drug store.
Paying bills, such as utility bills, property taxes, and so forth.
